Our Words

Everyone loves a good cake, right? Well how about an eight foot tall cake that you can walk inside of, or a birthday cake that sends tweets? How about a life size gingerbread house, or a mechanical cake that moves?

Sound appealing? Well, these edible fantasies have all been brought to life here at Connie Viney Cakes. We are dedicated to creating sculptures that taste delicious and look spectacular. We see each project as an artist collaboration with our clients and strive to create cakes that will be remembered for decades.

Connie Viney Cakes is building up a reputation internationally and has worked alongside some top names including The Great British Bake Off, The Experimental Food Society, The Edinburgh City Council, New World Cookers and Belling Home Appliances.

Our sculptures have been displayed at The BBC Good Food Show, The Dorchester Hotel, The National Wedding Show, Jenners Department Store and The Vyner Street Gallery, while photographs have been featured in The Guardian, The Evening Standard, LIFE Magazine and The National Post.

Connie Viney founded the business in 2009 with the intention of combining her two passions in life: Fine Art and baking. Graduating in 2011 with a Masters degree in Fine Art from Edinburgh University, she has worked tirelessly to create a brand that combines spectacular aesthetics with tantalising and innovative flavour combinations. Starting with her home kitchen as the 'creative hub', over the last five years she has worked her way up to the top of the baking world and now has her own studio and a talented team of staff.
